Directions from the Weatherford Texas Courthouse. Take Hwy 51 North to Springtown (15.7 miles - intersection Hwy 199 & Hwy 51). Stay on Hwy 51 thru Springtown for 9.3 miles to intersection of Hwy 114 & Hwy 51. (this is a dangerous intersection, please be careful). Turn left on Hwy 114/51 for 1.2 miles. Turn right on Hwy 51. The Wal-Mart in Decatur is 8.9 miles on the left. Take 51 under the over-pass to traffic light. (.1 miles). Turn left. Go .3 miles to the next traffic light. Turn right, (there is a Dairy Queen at this intersection). Go .2 miles to flashing yellow caution light. Turn right. Go .4 miles to second stop sign. (this is Farm Road 730 and you are downtown Decatur, courthouse will be on your right). Turn left (north) on Farm Road 730. Go 9.7 miles. You will see a sign on your right which says:
Black Creek Lake and Cottonwood Lake, with an arrow to turn left.  (Notice: You will see a sign at 7.0 miles which says: Black Creek Lake only. Do not take this road). Wait for the sign with both lake names. Turn left. In a short distance you will come to a "Y" in the road and a sigh which says: TADRA POINT / TRAILERS UNDER 12 FEET LONG and an arrow right to right. It will also say TADRA POINT / TRAILERS OVER 12 FEET and an arrow to the left.  If you take the "Y" to the right, go 2.4 miles to FS 900. Turn left. Go 1.7/1.8 miles. (at 1.7 miles there are some nice camping sites, at 1.8 miles you will find "TADRA POINT" this is a pay area, $4.00 per day, self pay. If you take the "Y" to the left, go 1.8 miles. Turn right on FS 904. Stay to the right for 1.6 miles. TADRA POINT is on the left. Please note there is NO running water or potable water at LBJ Grasslands. You will have to bring all your own drinking water for people. There are several windmills and ponds for horses to drink from. I don't think you can "harvest" fire wood there either, so don't forget to bring wood for your campfires!!!
