BOW TIE RACE
BOW TIE RACE Pattern of run beginning on left side of
center cone: Rider crosses timer line, curves (right) around the center
cone, a right turn around upper and lower cones, goes on right side of
center cone, then makes a left turn around upper and lower left cones, a
right turn around center cone and back across timer line. Pattern beginning
on right side of center line cone will be curved left, two left turns, left
side of center cone two right turns, left turn around center and back to cross timer line. EQUIPMENT Five traffic cones: the center cone is 72
feet from timer line, the lower left and right cones are 42 feet (40feet
apart) from the timer line and the upper left and right cones are 102 feet
from the line (40 feet apart) Five seconds will be added for knocking
over a cone. 1. Failure to complete or breaking the
pattern. 2. Horses foot passing over cone, instead
of around it.
