General Information
Playdays
- Regular Club playdays are held on the second Saturday of each month, March thru October.
- Ribbons are awarded to participants placing in events from 1st thru 6th place as well as high point awards presented for each class.
- PBRC members will be given points for placing in events, which will be totaled at the end of the playday season for year end awards.
- In addition to the regularly scheduled playdays, PBRC holds a practice playday in February and a fun playday in November. Points are not tallied for year end awards for these two playdays.
Club Meetings
- Regular club meetings are held monthly, on the Tuesday immediately before each playday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at the PBRC club house at the arena.
Membership
We always welcome new members. New memberships must be sponsored by a member in good standing. Membership dues are payable on or before Feb 15 and shall expire on Feb 14 of the following year. Membership dues may be paid at any time during the year, however points will not begin to accrue for year end awards, and member discounted event pricing will not apply until yearly dues are paid in full.
Family Memberships
For a family unit of parents and all unmarried children under the age of 19 (as of Jan.1 of membership year) that live as a household. Annual dues are $50 for the family.
Individual Memberships
Annual dues for a single membership for one person are $35.00.
Extended Junior Memberships
Any minor that is not eligible as part of a regular family membership may be sponsored under either a family or individual membership.
Annual dues are $15 for all minors under a membership.
Arena
- Poor Boys owns its arena. Club members are entitled to a key (with the appropriate deposit) and can use the arena for personal riding. Members are expected to pay an electricity charge if they ride at night and utilize the lights.
- From downtown Mineral Wells (intersection of Hwy 180 and Hwy 281) go south 1.3 miles to traffic light.
- Turn left on MH379 for .5 miles.
- Turn right on Millsap Hwy.
- Go 1.5 miles and the arena is on right
